By accessing or using FineWineTrails ("the platform", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users — consumers, wineries, and visitors.

2. Eligibility

You must be of legal drinking age in your country or jurisdiction to use FineWineTrails. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this condition.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at info@finewinetrails.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of misrepresenting your identity.

4. Use of the platform

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content about any winery or user.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the platform.

5. AI-generated content

FineWineTrails uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to power recommendations and the chat assistant. AI-generated responses are based on information in our database and are provided for informational and discovery purposes only.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content. Always verify important information directly with the winery (visiting hours, availability, pricing, events).

6. Winery profiles

Winery profiles on FineWineTrails are initially created from publicly available information (winery websites, tasting notes, etc.). Wineries can claim their profile to update and manage their own content.

If you are a winery and believe your profile contains inaccurate information, please contact us at info@finewinetrails.com or claim your profile to make corrections.

7. Intellectual property

All content on FineWineTrails — including the platform design, AI models, search algorithms, and editorial content — is owned by FineWineTrails and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Winery names, logos, and wine descriptions remain the property of the respective wineries. We use this content under fair use for discovery and informational purposes.

8. Disclaimers

FineWineTrails is a discovery and information platform. We are not responsible for:

• The accuracy of winery information (hours, pricing, availability).
• Any transactions between users and wineries.
• The quality of wines or experiences at any listed winery.

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FineWineTrails shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting info@finewinetrails.com.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
